IS THERE AGE TO BEGIN Sailing Training?
It is sufficient to be over the age of 18. However, young people under the age of 18 can attend training programs with their families during the summer periods.
WHAT IS THE SUITABLE SEASON TO START Sailing?
It is possible to go to the sea and cruise in all seasons. But of course, the pleasure of being on the sea in summer is different.
ARE YOUR BOATS SAFE?
All our boats have a seaworthiness certificate. The maintenance of all safety equipment of our boats is done periodically to guarantee your safety and the boats are regularly inspected.
HOW LONG DOES SAILING YACHTING TRAININGS TAKE?
The basic level lasts 16 hours, the intermediate level takes 20 hours, and a total of 4 weekends (Saturday or Sunday) or 4 weekdays are sailed.
ARE ALL TRAININGS PRACTICAL TRAININGS?
In addition to the practical trainings we have mentioned before, we provide theoretical training for approximately 4 hours in both our basic and intermediate level trainings.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS WHEN GOING TO THE SEA?
It's best to dress the way you feel comfortable. However, at sea, functionality is more important than brand. Clothing that will effectively protect from wind, sun and cold should be preferred.
WHAT KIND OF CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR DURING TRAINING?
We should wear clothes that we can move comfortably on the boat. Depending on the weather conditions, you can choose a raincoat, windbreaker or thermal clothing. When choosing shoes, you should choose white-soled sneakers or rubber boots. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. accessories should be removed while driving.
DO YOU GIVE ANY CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF THE TRAININGS?
Unfortunately, we do not have a certification program. However, after the training, you can take the exam and get an Amateur Seaman's Certificate (ADB). ADB license is required to operate Turkish flagged boats in Turkish territorial waters, issued by the Ministry of Transport. Captains who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey must have it.
CAN I EDUCATE WITH THOSE I KNOW?
Yes, we have the opportunity to close the boat. You can get training by creating your own group from our Istanbul, Izmir or Göcek centers.
DO I HAVE TO GET AN AMATEUR SEASON CERTIFICATE?
It is not obligatory to get a driver's license, but the captain candidates who want to rent a boat must get a driver's license.
